Scott Dance

Professor Scott Dance, owner and founder of SDJJ, brings nearly twenty years of teaching experience and over a decade of jiu-jitsu competition experience to the mats. A third-degree black belt under BJJ Revolution Team’s Professor Rodrigo Medeiros.

A passionate teacher at his core, Scott leverages hard-earned lessons from his own experiences on the competition mats to help the next generation of grapplers absorb and implement key jiu-jitsu concepts — preferably in less time than it took him to figure them out himself! By creating SDJJ, he aims to share knowledge with his students that will give them the tools to become effective, resilient, and creative jiu-jitsu practitioners on their own terms.
